FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA NOTIFICATION

No. EP-36(1)2004.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 45 of Food Corporations Act, 1964 (37 of 1964) and with the previous sanction of the Central Government, the Food Corporation of India hereby makes the following Regulations further to amend the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971 namely:-

1. Short Title and Commencement:

(i) These Regulations shall be called the Food Corporation of India (Staff) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2018.

(ii) These shall come into force from the date of Notification in the Official Gazette.

2. Definitions: The definition and meaning of the words and designation of posts in this Regulations shall have the same meaning as contained in the Food Corporations Act, 1964 and the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971.

3. In FCI (Staff) Regulations 1971 -

Regulation 43(2) of the FCI (Staff) Regulations may be amended as under:-

(ii) On occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, funerals or religious functions, when the making of gift is in conformity with the prevailing religious and social practice, an employee may accept gifts from his near relatives or from his personal friends having no official dealings with him, but shall make a report to the Corporation, if the value of such gift exceeds;-

(a) Rs.25,000/- in case of an employee holding any Category-I or Category-II Post;

(b) Rs.15,000/- in case of an employee holding any Category-III post.

(iii) In any other case, an employee shall not accept any gift without sanction of the Corporation if the value thereof exceeds:

(a) Rs.1,500/- in case of an employee holding any Category-I or Category-II post;

(b) Rs.500/- in case of an employee holding any Category-III and IV post.

(iv) Deleted.
